Drouin for Sergachev is another good example.

I'll toss Pulocks name into the ring for BB . I'm not sure how much money they save with Pulock needing a new contract and all but I'd imagine he'd make close to 1 mil less than Boeser's 5.875 .

maybe they can add a few other pieces to save the nucks a few more bucks like Beagle 3.0m / 2 years remaining (has a history with Trotz/caps) and Hickey 2.5 m / two years remaining .

I actually think Pulock ends up around Boeser money (or at least he should). The Islanders are also in cap trouble though, and I could see Lou stiff-arming their RFAs into smaller deals.
Either way, even if Pulock gets a smaller deal it's unlikely the Isles take on more salary for him.

How would everyone feel about a Sam Girard/BBoeser swap? Salary is close, Avalanche have a solid D locked up plus Byram and Timmins coming, etc. Could make some sense for both. Only reason it doesn't make sense is that Girard is a LD.

That makes a lot of sense. What about Chychrun. Everyone know Arizona needs offense.

I think Benning's trade history should make Canucks fans nervous about winning a Boeser trade. Sure these trades can be win-win, but examples stick out because they are rare. Also, FWIW, I would say both Nashville and Montreal pretty clearly lost their trades, so I'm not even sure those are win-win (although would give hope to Vancouver fans)

It could realistically happen, but if I'm a Vancouver fan I want a lot more than Risto.

Doesn't have to be, but that's the assumption is that it would be for a RHD.

with the flat cap , everyone in the league coming into RFA is going to get whacked .Pulock may have been in line for lets say 5.75 x whatever years but I bet its closer to 4.75 x ....

If they can move BB's salary out for a lesser contract I dont think it has to be D man directly. Free up that cap and then they can try free agency. On second thought, maybe FA isnt the way to go considering their track record in that department.
He could go for picks/prospect in the minors, that would give them the most freedom.

    Lots to choose from.
