Does your league use some weird stats or why did Sanderson go 4th?

I can't even imagine a league where Mukhamadullin and Kleven are worth 2nd round selections.

I have no clue why Sanderson went 4th. We do get points for peripherals but I still don't see why someone would take Sanderson that high. I'm not complaining though since it ended up leaving Drysdale for me at 12 who I then flipped for an expected lottery team's next two year's 1sts.

As for Mukhamadullin and Kleven, I'm guessing that since we're doing the draft so far in advance some people are just following some posted rankings blindly. Both are fairly highly ranked by ISS hockey and McKenzie.

I didn't really focus much past the top 15. I agree with JP that seeing Sanderson go that high is strange and then watching Drysdale fall to 12 is a head scratcher. Raymond and Perfetti at 7-8 look like great bargains to me.

Askarov at 6? Seems a little high for me, but I see the appeal of getting one of best G prospects in recent years.
Points only keeper. 12 Teams. No pos requirements. 18 skaters / 3 goalies (2 count for points.) G/A = 1 point each (includes goalies) Goalies = 1.5 for W / 4.5 for SO. Minors - 4 year protection. Prospects added during their draft year only. Undrafted = waivers.

The person who took him at 6 also had 8th overall, so he knew he'd be able to grab either Raymond or Perfetti as well.

Well, two solid prospects so can't complain about that.

The GM that drafted Sanderson took Seider last season in another league with a few of the same GMs. He then traded Seider for Roman Josi and a 1st round pick. Yes, I said Seider for Josi + 1st round pick.

That may be part of the logic behind this pick as nothing else makes sense. Dmen are not even more valuable than forwards with these league settings. It's been an interesting draft to follow and it is telling me a lot about the other GMs.

(it's the same league as my expansion draft strategy post)

There was a lot more going on in that trade than just Seider for Josi and a 1st. If I remember correctly, it was something akin to Seider + Skinner + 1st + some other piece for Josi + 1st + a couple middling prospects/picks. Still a great return for Seider, but not that crazy.

I'm in a new Dynasty draft right now that includes 2020 guys. There's some large goalie reaches, but NHL goalies and goalie prospects went pretty fast, for reference before the Cranley pick goalies that were picked just before were : Melnichuk, Delia, Lindgren, Parsons. Another note, guys like Robins/Berard and other 2nd-4th rd picks weren't in the fantrax system so we requested a bunch of players to be added shortly before Robins was picked, so they might have been picked earlier if they were searchable beforehand.

This is the order of 2020 guys so far: (Bold picks were mine)

    1. Alexis Lafreniere

IMO you have a steal in Dawson Mercer at 23. Crazy to think that Kaiden Guhle fell to 35... I like your Amirov selection as I also want to draft him with my 14 or 16 pick. Also, Drew Commesso is a HUGE reach hehe

Neither draft posted above produced a top 30 order anywhere close to how I imagined it should go. Very interesting...
