For the team in my sig, would you give much more than Eichel, Dahlin and a 2nd rounder to get Draisaitl? I'd love to own him, but the ask just keeps getting higher and higher. Should I just keep what I have, or look to throw in another couple pick upgrades too?

Personally i wouldn´t trade Eichel and Dahlin for Draisaitl. That´s 2 elite talents for 1.

I wouldn't do that. I already see Eichel as having the upside of close to Draisaitl. This would be kind of a sell low buy high too as Draisaitl's value couldn't get much higher than it is now. Dahlin and Eichel I think have some room to increase their value even though it is already very high. Imagine how good they will look when the Sabres actually become a relevant team. Hold!

It sounds like you are bidding against yourself. And while I'm all for moving a C for a W, you are already offering a more than fair deal. I'd look for a different W target that comes at a reasonable/fair price.

That's too high a price to pay. I love all three players but wouldn't do that deal. Try to trade your non-keepers (Tkachuk, Horvat, Trochek) for pick upgrades and then see if you can swing a deal that way. In your circumstances I'd give up one of Eichel/Dahlin plus a high pick for Draisaitl if you really wanted to do it, but honestly I'd prefer to keep both.

IMO it’s too high a price to pay for Draisaitl. I understand the attraction to have McDavid, Draisaitl as keepers. The Draisaitl owner holds all the power in your negotiations. I suspect he’s looking to upgrade his keepers at your expense by dangling Draisaitl. If he can’t hit a home run deal his downside is keeping Draisaitl. Not much of a downside.
Personally I’d ask him to name his price and then you can pull the trigger or move on.
