A philly fanatic friend of mine has mentioned to me that the flyers are looking to move up in this year's draft and Ghost is a piece they intend on using. Until there is more certainty, my guess of 30-38 points on the flyers might be a safe bet. His days of 65 with the flyers are well distant in the mirror.

Unfortunately, I don't see Gosth getting back to a 50 pts form even if he gets traded to another team. In fact, I'd be surprised to see him get to 40 pts.

I think it's going to take a trade to a D starved team looking for offense from the blue line (Anaheim? NYI? Montreal?) before he gets back to that 50pt range again.

Ghost is a 1or2 trick pony.
He's the equivalent of a pure-fastball hitter in baseball.

Looks great... until pitchers all catch wind that he can't hit a certain pitch.
As a PHI fan, I've seen enough.

His points came from being too self-centric on the ice a few years ago.
PHI is/was/will be simply a better team with Provorov running the PP1 and first unit of OT.
I've been saying it for 3+ years and PHI finally proved me right last year by moving Ghost to a lesser role.

With Hextall (who signed him long-term) out... you'll see PHI move on from Ghost.
His contract is OK... not great, not even good... but it's OK for somebody that can provide offensive upside.

The bigger problem (as I just wrote in a Marino thread) is that the entire future of NHL defensemen is smaller, super-smart, good skating D-men.
And they are coming in BIG waves in the next year or two.

Which makes Ghost... simply the first model of an NHL trend.
Everybody's got their Samsung S10 or Apple 10 these days... no point in hanging around to inferior previous versions, right.
That's Ghost. There's simply better versions here (Girard, Fox, Marino) and coming (2021 draft) than Ghost.
