Default Rank these guys. Prospect D-Men!

In a Keeper-League point only. In what order would you put them? Not necessarily the closest to play. Biggest Upside for you!?

    Victor Soderstrom
    Juuso Valimaki
    Jake Bean
    Bowen Byram
    Thomas Harley
    Moritz Seider
    Evan Bouchard
    Ty Smith
    Bode Wilde
    Nils Lundkvist
    Erik Brannstrom
    Scott Perunovich
    Ryan Merkley
    Rasmus Sandin
    Alexander Alexeyev
    Ville Heinola
    Adam Boqvist
    Calen Addison
    Oliver Kylington
    Sami Niku

Biggest upside for me would be (not listing all of them just the ones that stand out; and in no particular order)

    Byram
    Sodestrom
    Bouchard
    Smith
    Brannstrom
    Heinola
    Boqvist
    Addison
    Dobson

Most others, while very good, i don't think have the upside to carry their game at the NHL or are more 2 way defenders. But as always with prospects, i could be completely wrong

    Just based on upside,

    Byram
Merkley (I would never draft him or give up an asset to acquire him but his upside is through the roof)
    Bouchard
    Smith
    Brannstrom
    Perunovich
Zamula - wait, he wasn't listed, oh well!!!
    Bogqvist

Those would be the guys that interest me the most.

First off, way too many to rank the entire list. You wont get as many replies if you make your lists that long. Just a good-to-know for you.

Next, D are really hard to guage long term because they tend to take longer to develop into high end offensive guys. Look how long it took Hedman to develop and you have to wonder how many bailed on him early because they were impatient.

My top four that I like the most based on skillset and opportunity today:

    Bouchard
    Boqvist
    Seider
    Soderstrom

A lot of these kids are very close as far as upside so to seperate them in a ranking is more of a personal preference compared to actual knowledge at this point. They are all mostly still in the early stages of their careers.

I'd also recommend you purchase Dobbers prospect guide. It's a nice guide to aid in prospect evaluation.

A few of you guys have Boqvist way too low. He showed a lot growth this year and he has a clear path to #1 PPQB and prime offensive minutes. He really shouldn’t have been in the NHL this season but he held his own and has a bright future.
