Bottom line is acquiring Scheifele could add around 15 points to your total per season, assuming Teravainen would go on your bench (and bearing no injuries). That's a nice upgrade for someone fighting tooth and nail to win the league.

On the other hand, if you can get Byfield/Stutzle + Konecny and then trade away the third pick for a better asset, it wouldn't be bad either.

perhaps but right here right now nothing you get is better than peak of prime Scheifele who blends in well with the age range of what you have now. As stated earlier he easily has 4-5 if not more PPG seasons left in him and he's a super underrated goal scorer.

Thats weird that Konecny is available in this league.

Im curious what it would take just to get Scheifele, and not all the picks that would come with him.

Agree with this. Honestly, I'd want to keep one of your first round picks to take Konecny.

Yeah because nobody took him during the original draft last year. So he is now available. You pick Konecny before Zegras? (Points only league)

My guess is getting Schiefele does not happen without all three first round picks going back the other way. It's a fair offer, and I'd probably accept it.

It’s a little closer now that I know for sure those are all 1sts, but you’re still getting a couple firsts out of it (further down the road) so that actually fits your timeline better.
    12 Team Keep 6: G/A:1 W/SO:2

B - Marchessault, Caufield, Teravainen, McCann, Montour, Jones, Saros

    12 Team Keep 10 (& 5 Minors)

In this spot, 100 % Konecny. He'll be a PPG guy for sure, but maybe not next year (that's the difference with Scheifele). Zegras is a really nice prospect, but it'll take some time for him to be fantasy relevant. And if I got this right, you would already have a high end prospect in Byfield/Stutzle.

there are absolutely no guarantees he is a PPG player going forward. I am not saying it isn't possible but do not get all hyped over 61 pts in 66 gp. I see him being heralded hard core lately and he is candidate number one for reach drafting next year.

In a millisecond. What is Konecny's bust risk? Essentially zero.

So Jeff, you prefer the deal to get the 3rd overall or the one to get Scheifele ??

It's still bigger than Scheifele's bust factor...

Like I said, if you are in a win now situation, Scheifele might be the best answer. +15 pts for years to come. Yet, I'm not ready to say this is my favorite deal, since Konecny will be available in your draft. You'd have quite an asset with Byfield/Stutzle as well. Just don't expect the same leap in terms of production next year. Stat wise, Konecny is legit. I don't see any risk here. That trade would be my pick! But again, if you think that acquiring Scheifele is the answer to leap over the best teams in your league, you should think hard about it. Good luck!

I’d grab Scheifele and worry about the future later on. Your team isn’t that old and to add a stud like Scheifele is gravy.

The first pick you could possibly have is #5... I'm not sure Konecny is still there then... Will be close. Go for Scheifele!
