No love for Deangelo? I know his name doesn't feel like it belongs next to all of those mentioned but 53 points in 68 games on a NYR team that is only going to get better isn't anything to overlook. I'd say he's one of if not the top darkhorse candidate to crack this list next year

He can be an HM, but he doesn't have the track record or the security for me to be putting him on a top 10 list like this yet.

Yeah he's a guy where you wouldn't be surprised if he actually was top 10, but there are just too many guys that have the same or better track record and more 'pedigree'. I wonder if Quinn Hughes or Cale Makar are guys who might surprise us by taking a step back. I still put them in my top 10, but there is a teeny little bit of maybe be careful there, especially only for next year. I have almost no doubt they are stars in this league, but a lot of the very best young players have bumps in the road.

Good point! Sometimes it's easy to forget that an epic rookie year doesn't always lead to unbridled success from there on out. That (and a cheaper trade price) is why I recently traded for Dahlin. Entering 3rd year and growing each year so far has me thinking he's closer to consistency. Could go either way, of course.

    1. Carlson
    2. Makar
    3. Hughes
    4. Josi
    5. Rielly
    6. DeAngelo
    7. Hamilton
    8. Hedman
    9. Dahlin
    10. Krug

*Karlsson and Burns could easily crack the Top-10 but I don't believe enough in the Sharks (and Karlsson's health) to warrant taking the risk.
Chabot and Werenski are two kids that could easily make the list as well.
I think Pietrangelo and Suter take a dip. The above 10 are who I am going to war with.
    8-GM / WK-H2H

    D-Men/Captain: G=3/A=2
    Goalies: W=3, OTL=1, SO= +2, SV= .10

    Start = 13F, 6D, 2G / Keep 44 (3G)
    Captain: Matthews
(F): MacKinnon, Pasta, Marner, Rantanen, Malkin, Barkov, M.Tkachuk, W.Nylander, Pettersson, Gaudreau, Laine, Keller, Miller, B.Tkachuk, Stutzle, DeBrincat, L.Raymond, K.Johnson, Cozens, Quinn, Guenther, Kulich, Cooley

I知 going over these lists again and I知 surprised I知 the only one who has Theodore in the top 10. From mid-December to the end of the season he posted 34 points in 37 games; a very quiet near-PPG Dman. And he has solidified his spot anchoring a great Vegas PP. I think he痴 a real hidden gem.
