    Default Tage Thompson

I may have the opportunity to acquire Tage Thompson in my 31 team dynasty league for a reasonable cost. We count G, A, +/-, hits, blocked shots, takeaways, PP TOI and PK TOI. What are people's thoughts on him? Is he going to be a career AHLer, a 4th line guy, a 3rd line guy or will he be good enough to play Eichel?

How many points will he average per season? What will his peak season be? Will he be useful in the non-point stats?

Let's try this again with a poll so people don't have to type anything.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.

I don’t do multi cat leagues so can’t comment on his likelihood of contributing in categories other than points, but I see him as a Chiasson-like player. Goal heavy and in a good season 20 goals and 15 assists.

I also picked the 30 to 40 point range. I think playing with Eichel is a long shot at best.

Depth scorer with a chance to peak later as bigger forwards normally do. He needs to at least become a competent NHLer soon though before he gets the bust label and stops getting chances.

To use his size protecting Eichel and Reinhart - take a page from Tom Wilson’s notebook - yes, he’ll get one more opportunity. But the clock ticks. Unlimited chances do not happen. And he’s not worth much at all in trade value, so it’s Buffalo.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

He's 22 and has played 100 games at roughly 12min per. You haven't been given a chance when you play 12min a game.

He can easily get in the top 6 if/when he gets the chance. He often impresses me when I watch him play.
