    Default Turcotte or Zegras?

Hi guys, in a points only, who would to take between Zegras and Turcotte.

I really love Alex Turcotte, but now that LA got the 2nd overall pick, if they take Byfield, Turcotte could land on the second line (center).

For Zegras, I think he should be the first center in a couple of years...

Whats your toughts on this one?

    Thanks!

In the grand scheme of things, adding a guy like Stutzle or Byfield may prove a positive for Turcotte because it's another great player to play with and multiply their powers, so I wouldn't have any negatives on Turcotte because of a dense pipeline. The season that Zegras had simply puts him in a higher tier at this stage.

So you take him before guys like Raymond, Rossi, Holtz and Perfetti?

And what about Byfield and Stutzle? Zegras got the same upside?

In my opinion, Zegras has point per game+ potential. I think the others you mentioned have similar ceilings. Rossi and Stutzle would be my favourites of that group.

What a difference a year makes. Safe to say Turcotte went top 4 in most fantasy drafts last year and Zegras probably went around 7-8 in most drafts.

Fast forward one year and a lot are now saying Zegras is the better option.

I wonder what the opinions will be in another year of progress for these kids.

With Zegras on Anaheim and Turcotte on LA do people realistically expect much from these guys in the upcoming season?

Especially with the pandemic ratcheting everything up?

Wouldn't expect to see Turcotte. Zegras maybe, depending on off-season moves.

Was torn last year at our draft between Turcotte and Zegras. Decided on Turcottes combination of speed, skill and pure determination(drive) as the X factor over Zegras's skill. Zegras has the better skill but I like what Turcotte brings. Time will tell on both and it really just comes down to fit and surrounding cast. It takes 2 or 3 players with great chemistry to form a great line and bring out the best as far as fantasy goes.
