I think the Tyson Jost side.
- 3 years younger and I think potential for a big breakout soon.
- Butcher I think is stuck in a rut and not going up or down in value.
Will Butcher
Tyson Jost
Deep 31 team dynasty league where we count G, A, +/-, Blocked Shots, Hits, Takeaways, PP TOI, PK TOI, FO (for centers). We have NHL sized rosters plus unlimited farm teams. We use the NHL salary cap as well as NHL AAV for each player. Assuming one team has an excess of forwards and needs a dman and the other team has plenty of dmen and wants a forward, who wins this trade:
Will Butcher, 25 years old - 2 years left at $3,733,333, 19/20 stats: 56GP, 4G, 17A, -8, 31 hits, 75 blocked shots, 10 takeaways, 1:18 PP TOI/game, 0:13 PK TOI/game
OR
Tyson Jost, 22 years old - RFA 19/20 stats: 67 GP, 8G, 15A, +11, 33.3% FOW on 255 FO, 58 hits, 18 blocked shots, 17 takeaways, 1:42 PP TOI/game, 0:17 PK TOI/game

Also voted for Jost. I think we've probably seen Butcher's best fantasy season unless he gets to another situation where he's the only puck mover on a team.
I want Jost. Never been a fan of Butcher.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
I also prefer Jost, but I think Butcher is also decent, just not as valuable.
