    Default MacKinnon vs package

    Hey guys,

Offer came my way from this year's winner.

    His MacKinnon and Dahlin
    vs
My Tarasenko, Thomas, Boqvist or Heinola and 1st overall (basically Lafreniere)

    I still have 2 more 1st rounders (2nd overall and 6th)

I know I'm getting the best player in Mackinnon (and very good cap value) and the better of the 2 D's in Dahlin (needs to resign next year though)

But I'm getting rid of a lot as well.
    1) 12 team keeper league (cap with aav) keep 15. (Less than 82 GP = protected)

D(6): Seider, Dahlin, Drysdale, Bouchard, Theodore, Mintyukov
    G(2): Andersen, Oettinger

Do the deal. Include Heinola and keep Boqvist since you have the choice between the two.

You get the two best players of the equation.
You do give up quality pieces, but none of the caliber or MacKinnon + you retain the 2nd overall to draft Byfield.
    It's a win imo.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Make the deal. You get the best player in the trade by a long shot plus you also get Nathan MacKinnon.

That I would do. MacKinnon is more certain than #1 overall. Talent level is similar.

The rest is pretty reasonable for Dahlin, and I deal Heinola as well.

Thanks for the quick answers! It's done, I pulled the trigger! He tinkered a bit with the offer because he found it hard to get rid of MacKinnon.

So it ended it up being

    MacKinnon, Dahlin, 1st (11th) and a 4th round pick
    Vs.
Tarasenko, Boqvist, Thomas, 1st overall (Lafreniere) and 1st (9th).

I still think that is a pretty fair price to obtain MacK and Dahlin. Nicely done!

I don't like the deal nearly as much with the extra additional pieces added on your part. I would have held firm on the original offer or kept what you had, but what's done is done.

Lafreniere SOUNDS like real deal... but just last year we were being told that Jack Hughes was “generational.” Before that, Dahlin was “generational.” MacKinnon is worth the price. Hype vs. superstar.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.
