Western Conference:
EDM-CHI: Oilers - Talent over experience when everyone is fresh for playoffs. Experience plays better after a gruelling season.
VAN-MIN: Canucks - Talent and youth over age here.
NSH-ARZ: Predators - predators have the skill and experience.
WPG-CGY:Jets - Why did Calgary lose last year in playoffs? cause Colorado played a better playoff style. Winnipeg will do that this year.

Eastern Conference:
CBJ-TOR: Leafs - Leafs can’t lose first round again can they?
PIT-MTL: Penguins - As much as I hope for Price to steal three straight, it is unlikely
NYI-FLA: Panthers - Bobrovsky gets hot and steals it!
CAR-NYR: Rangers - Zibqnajed and the Rangers were coming on strong

The lack of a true training camp/exhibition season, etc. actually makes me see these the opposite way. Teams that are systems-driven/coaching-reliant will have less time to get back to where they were. Toronto and Florida have more talent, and talent will take a 5-game series after a long break IMO.

Just my two cents...

If there's one thing that CBJ has that most other teams lack is it's a driven passion which comes from Torts pushing them. This is an excellent TEAM and is not driven by superstars but an excellent system and better coaching. I think they will give the Leafs everything they can handle and I honestly think they are a better TEAM. I also think they can win this series.

It's going to be interesting and I expect a few upsets coming out of this round.

They won’t, they’ll lose in the real first round when they draw Boston.
