I don’t get it. 12-player universe? “Winner?” Do you have a quarantined rink you’re offering? And with TRAINING CAMPS not starting ‘til August 1, why would there be any rush? I’d consider an active-player DEFENSEMAN draft - 6 defensemen, 3 pairs - and that could be voted on.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

    Its not hockey... its bull-riding.

They are still hosting bull riding events... and they are having a team competition this summer.

There are 12 teams of 4 riders on each team - hence the 12 player universe.

They will have head to head matchups for the next 4 weekends and then a championship playoffs in early July.

I must be getting better at this...or worse. Bcuz almost EVERY freakin’ time, ol’ Newf takes the player I thought could make it back to my pick. Yandle / Ironman this round.

I feel that way after most picks, LOL. Although there have been a couple players chosen that weren't on my top 6 list.

I changed my Beezer pick right after I picked. I picked him as Florida then figured I better check how many years he played for Florida. And it wasn’t many. So I switched it up.

That's because I have a copy of your draft list. Saves me from doing research.

Actually, I was looking for a dman, and then started looking at the Panthers. No player (forward or dman) on Florida has ever reached 450 points with the team. So it made the decision to choose Yandle a lot easier.

So does Burns count as a forward or defenseman if he was drafted in Minnesota?

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

PH - I considered taking Bobby Clarke from you, for about 0.04 nanoseconds... couldn’t do it. But on the other hand, I WAS at both Flyers’ parades. (Oh - you don’t remember these??)

Mostly, I just don’t want our discussion thread to die and be buried on page 2. LOL. Interesting to me that as I wind through the middle of this draft - unlike most others, this might be getting easier. Newf and Zorro have already taken most of who I wanted... I’m down to Beau Bennett for NJD and Oleksiak for DAL or MIN. Strategy's out in the open.

I haven’t used any sort of strategy or plan for this draft. I don’t even have a list. When my turn comes around I just decide then. And I must admit, I’m pretty pleased with my team so far. The only players that I wanted but couldn’t get was the round where the Anaheim duo of Getzlaf and Kariya went.

I vaaaugely have a strategy, but it is a very difficult thing to strategize for. You might think you have lots of options for team X, but someone might take some of those players in a different uniform. It is a very fluid kind of strategy for me. I am just basiclally trying to balance talent with not waiting too long on some teams/players

12 team H2H Most Cats Wins; Keep 6/winner keeps 7; G A PPP +/- SHP SOG HIT BLK PIM // W SV GAA SV% SHO
    3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, 6D, 2G, 5 bench

    C - McDavid, Crosby, Tavares
    LW - DeBrincat
    RW - Meier, Miller
    D -
    G - Jarry

I drafted him as a D, but would move him to F if that made more sense...

Happy to get Eddie the Eagle! Was very disappointed not to get him in the All-Time/History draft. Belfour was my favourite player growing up as a kid. I’d always throw on the pads and pretend to be Eddie in road hockey.
