Don't go crazy and give up a boat load for the 2nd pick.. Having 3rd and 4th overall is good enough.. Keep Draisital.. And why would Kaprizov get picked in the top 2 with the entire 2020 draft class available??

I'm passing on deal and keeping Draisatl. I will be happy with any of these guys that fall to 3 and 4. Draisatl is going to ride shotgun with McD for many years.

Alright, a lot of opinions here. I will think hard on it.
12 team deep keeper league, 17 main roster players, 5 prospect players, max 2 goalie keepers for the main roster. point breakdown goes as follows:
    Skaters:
G is 4 points, 5.2 points for D goals. A is 2.5 points, 3.25 points for defense. 0.07 per FOW, 0.2 points for blocks, hits, and SOG 0.5 points for PIMS and +/-, 3 for SHG, 1.5 for SHA.
    Goalies:
GS is 1.5 points, -1 for GA, 0.2 for SV, 4 for SHO, and 3 for W.

The upside of the best player in this draft is basically Draisiatl. In your league, I'm unsure if Lafreniere has that upside, actually. You have FW, which I'm pretty sure are faceoff wins, and while he is more physical than Draisiatl, it remains to be seen how much.

With faceoff wins from the wing being so coveted, and the fact that Draisiatl is the Oiler's #1 C for faceoffs, I stand pat.

This happens every year...once the draft comes around, all the hype gets people talking, and some crazy stuff happens. The truth is, none of those pieces would help your team more than Draisaitl. Even with the NHL getting younger and younger, it may take several seasons for a draft pick to make an impact, so glad you decided to keep Draisaitl. Plus you most likely end up with Lafreniere, and Byfield, so big win for you.

Im with you. I think you are overpaying for the excitement of drafting at #2. People overpay all the time around draft time simply because they love the excitement of making the pick. Then you're left looking at a kid who might not produce for you for a few years, all the while watching the other team you traded with loving in his new stud that you traded away.
