    Default Draft

Looking to draft some goalies this year as I'm a little light in this area.

Hoping to get both but who would you grab first Swayman or Prosvetsov?
    thanks.

    McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner

    Prospects include:
    McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
    Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.

Prosvetov was actually ranked incredibly high in craig button's list of top 50 prospects a few months ago. And he's coming into a fairly good position organization-wise in Arizona.
Swayman has a nice amount of competition in Boston, but with Rask possibly retiring sooner than later (although I find that hard to believe), he is Boston's best goalie prospect, so he's got a nice shot as well.
I still go with Prosvetov. The Boston's net is Rask's as long as he wants it for. And I'm not sold on Kuemper/Raanta/Hill as long term solutions in Arizona.

    GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

Would go with Prosvetov as well. Better situation to get NHL shot sooner.

I would yes I have picks 8 and 9. But with our format I don't like using a pick that early to get a goalie. Takes so long to develop I think you are better with a guy that is further along.

Prosvetov was ranked very highly by Pronman as well in his midseason rankings. Raanta only has 1 year left on his deal so I see Prosvetov sliding into a backup roll in ‘21 after another full season in the AHL. At least this is what I am hoping.

i always say that goalie prospects are too unpredictable, hell even NHL goalies are unpredictable season to season. Having said that, i think Askarov is a real deal and i think that if he is drafted by a team in need of a good goalie he will be playing in NHL in 22-23 season. Only 2 years wait. Obviously just my opinion...

I think that's extremely optimistic, but as you say, that's just my opinion.
