    DUSTER DAVE’S HISTORIC HOCKEY CLUB

    Yzerman - Crosby - Kurri
    Kariya - Lindros - Dionne
    Tavares - Toews - Mogilny
    Marchand - Bergeron - Roenick

    Lidström - MacInnis
    Salming - Blake
    Josi - Letang

    Sawchuk
    Bower
    Broda

    Bench:
    Getzlaf
    McSorley
    Avery

Line 1 - Hoped to recreate the Gretzky-Kurri pair with Crosby slotted in the Centre spot in place of The Great One. Yzerman on his opposite wing makes me as giddy as the prospect of hockey actually returning.

Line 2 - Two magnificent players who’s careers were cut short. Lindros and Kariya should be viewed for what they have done and not the levels they didn’t reach due to injury. Add Dionne to that mix!

Line 3 - A hell of an impact line. Toews is the ultimate “better real life player than fantasy”. Two dynamic scorers on his wing.

Line 4 - Wanted my team to have the “greatest 4th line in hockey” tag among these 8 teams. Roenick replaces Pastrnak here as he was just out of my reach. Like Line 3, I hope Bergeron is viewed for his on ice play and not just his stats.

1st D Pairing - Not much of an explanation needed. Lidström is arguably only 2nd to Bobby Orr for all-time best D-man and MacInnis’ slap shot speaks for itself, not to mention his penalty killing abilities.

    2nd D Pairing - A shut-down pair that’ll still put up monstrous points.

3rd D Pairing - Good luck containing these two when they are on the ice together. A proven champion paired with one of the best active D-men in the world.

All three D-pairings have a RHD playing on their proper side.

Starting Goalie - Proven to be a crapshoot of a position in the last few years but Sawchuk has been ranked as high as 3rd all-time in some rankings.

    Bench:
Ryan Getzlaf - Another proven champion waiting on the bench for a tap on his shoulder.

Marty McSorley - One of the all-time greats in terms of toughness. Any team full of superstars needs a guy like Marty.

Sean Avery - The ultimate pest. Would be in the starting lineup when/if we face Brodeur and LuigiC173. Great role guy to have on the bench regardless.

Redo the poll, but have a post ready with both teams on it and post them at the same time
    Please!
    Thank you

Very odd that there are 11 votes so far but only one team is posted. Need to restart voting process

DusterDave's opponent withdrew from the competition. I am surprised at how many votes they still received. I wonder if those that voted for pmorrow took the time to look at the draft thread and see how good of team he drafted.

Anyways... just like in politics... we go with the votes and DusterDave is moving on! Congrats!
