Yes itll happen lol... I am trying to keep a close eye on it so I will try to point out if anyone takes an award already taken.

Also a reminder that you cannot take guys from the 2012-2013 lockout shortened season!

Things like this prove just how little I know about hockey compared to some of you guys. I wouldn't even know where to start with this, but it's interesting to follow along with the draft lol. Curious to see what you guys will come up with next!

Sorry, not on as much the last few days, so I'm the one slowing down the draft.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

I think it makes no sense to make a decision about the draft before the more important decision about the season and the playoffs. I was surprised that discussions got as Far as they did in early May, without any attempt to also start calling players back, nor to have a plan at all !

Oh - my bad - THIS draft !! LOL.

I ranked all 7 categories from 1 to 20. Amazed that my evaluations were damn close to the group’s. Will be even more surprised if my bottom 7 are chosen as late as I thought.

....and yet I’m stunned that Kris Draper lasted this long, arguably being the last Selke winner who was truly chosen for his defensive play.

sure, others have had 2-way skills, but the award as originally defined is no longer. Someone with under 50 (60? 65?) points offensively will never again have even a nomination.
