Default NHL League Awards Draft - Discussion

    https://www.mlb.com/news/21st-centur...-awards-ranked

See the link above.. Is anyone interested in doing something like this?

I am thinking of expanding on it and making it for multiple NHL awards. If there is interest we can discuss if we want to do it per award or all as one combined draft.

Let me know if you are interested. I have had lots of fun doing the NHL History Draft and figured I would would try another one!

So how does this go? If I had 1st pick (99), do I get credit for 9 Harts, 10 Art Ross, 4 Lady Bings, etc.? Or are the first 9 picks all Gretzky? (My thought would be that multiple-award winners count as ONE of each, but that’s just me.) In any case, sign me up.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

    Crosby Hart 2014
    Crosby Hart 2007

The two above Are two different players in the player pool? Its less about drafting the player and more about drafting the Season that the player had to win the award. Which Crosby Hart Season was better... was it better it better than Martin
St. Louis' Hart winning season. Crosby is easily the better player... but we are throwing that out the window and comparing the season that the player had.

Ultimately we would be ranking the winning seasons of each of the awards. If you take a look a this link https://www.mlb.com/news/21st-centur...-awards-ranked you will see that Barry Bonds 4 MVP Seasons were the first four drafted.

Hey Penguin, something just came up in my personal life and I won't be able to dedicate the time needed for this draft. Please withdraw me from the confirmed list. Hope it's a great draft for all of you! I will be able to finish the whole process of the history draft though!

Kawee - I hope all is ok. If it’s at all medical and you need medicalese translation into English, feel free to PM me. Doctors sometimes suck at communication. Just like lawyers.

Belexus - I’m bored, sure - but have used the history draft to learn more about my favorite sport. Maybe I’ll get a job writing for Dobber !!

As I think about this...5 or 10 is the perfect number of people for this. we can also make it work with 6,7,8,9.

Whats everyone's thoughts of planning on starting it on Monday with a deadline of registration of Saturday?

Should we do all 10 major awards?

Or should we narrow it down to 5 awards?

Any which way we do it we will be all drafting 4 from each award.

I’d think 5 (Hart, Vezina, Calder, Norris, Selke??), but will go with whatever you decide.
