Default Is Jett Woo someone to hold?

In a 16 team, 36 player dynasty that includes PIM/Hits, do you think Jett Woo is probable to turn into a 35-40 point guy with 160 hits? With Hughes on PP1 for the future, I'm not sure if Woo has the skills or probability to be a PP2 guy, what with Juolevi, Rathbone, Rafferty, etc. in the system.

Hard to say, but I do know the Canucks are pretty high on Woo. He seems to be more of a physical Dman than an offensive one (although he has shown he can score in Jr).

As far as whether he's worth holding, it depends on your league setup. Do you have a minors? All you say is a 16 team 36 player league.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

No specific minors, just start 18 players with 18 on the bench. No limit on the number of players who aren't in the NHL. I'd like Woo to be a mini Byfuglien, but worry that his numbers will be more Lawson Crouse-ish due to lack of scoring opportunity.

If you dont have a minors, I am not sure I'd hold him. He could be 2-3 years away at best.

I wouldn't hold if you don't have a minors. There are plenty of other closer-to-NHL options than Woo.

Not in your format. In a deeper league, or one with with dedicated minors, he may make the cut as a hold.

Put in perspective. Three multi-cat pools I am in:

    12 teams - 30 minors
    14 teams - 15 minors
    16 teams - 20 minors

I wouldn't claim him off waivers in any of these pools due to the strength & proximity to the NHL of other D prospects I own in each.

Is he gonna play one day? I feel like the Canucks could use a guy like him.
31 TEAMS keep all multi-cat (lot of them) dynasty
Offensive stats : Goals, Assist , PPP, PPTOI, SOG...
Defensive stats : PKTOI, BLKS, TakeAway, Giveaway...
    (basically best NHL player)

I hope so, simply from his name. The Canucks could use a lot of players who might be decent on D.

As others have said only in a very deep league format would Woo, despite the awesome name, be worth holding. While he is having a much better year in the AHL than last year, 14 pts in 57 gp compared to only 8 in 42 last year, he likely projects as a bottom pairing defensemen. He does play a physical game which could help him crack the Canucks lineup in the bottom pair but there is lots of more experienced competition and Woo becoming a regular NHL D man is far from certain.
