Going off my uneducated opinion, everyone knows goalies are voodoo, but one cannot deny his success, even if most of it comes from playing in the K. I really feel like he will come in and will be a legit starter in no time. I have no issues saying he will be among the elite NHL tenders for a long time.
Points only keeper. 12 Teams. No pos requirements. 18 skaters / 3 goalies (2 count for points.) G/A = 1 point each (includes goalies) Goalies = 1.5 for W / 4.5 for SO. Minors - 4 year protection. Prospects added during their draft year only. Undrafted = waivers.

when I watch his youtube clips I'm most impressed with his movement in the crease during those scrambling loose puck battles right in the blue paint where many nhl goals are scored . He's apparently really good in the mental toughness dept. too .

Yep, he did quite well for himself too. Got over double what Elvis got last year in a similar situation. And while I don't have a clue as to tax difference between New York and Russia I don't think he took too big of a pay-cut from his KHL salary (I recently read it was around $2M but didn't see a confirmed source.)

yeah its really not fair but if theres loopholes lawyers will find them .You'd think the NHL would at least push for elimination of the college loopholes which allow certain drafted guys become free agents after X amount of time . (Vesey and others )

There is no college loophole. All drafted players except players drafted out of countries whose hockey federation has no transfer-agreement with the NHL (just Russian now I believe) rights expire. As for Russian players having all the power, Dugan, Perunovich, Mitchell, and Rathbone all just signed contracts burning an ELC year as well. Happens every year.

Furthermore, other than players drafted out of Russia, NCAA are at the greatest disadvantage. Not only do NCAA "amateur athlete" rules prevent them from signing a contract (and getting a signing bonus) while playing NCAA, they likely need to take on debt to play as there are no full-ride hockey scholarships, and NHL teams hold onto their rights an extra month and a half compared to CHL, USHL, and European players. NCAA players get the short stick compared to their peers and every year there are countless complaints about a NCAA loophole that doesn't exist.

Entwistle signs on the dotted, and lucrative, line with Chicago <- 3rd round pick Mackenzie Entwhistle signs ELC, continues to play in OHL, gets nearly $100k signing bonus, "I've never seen money like that before," he said. "So it will be cool. I just have to use it right."

Stars prospect Riley Tufte returning for junior season at UMD, but focused on Dallas future <- 1st round pick Riley Tufte, can't sign anything, in debt for school, takes on odd jobs around campus for pocket money, “It includes a lot of landscaping,” Tufte told The Athletic. “Just trying to get a little bit of money in there to pay for my college rent.”

and let's add in a Russian guy for anyone who argues rights shouldn't expire

Prospect notes: Max Shalunov to remain in KHL after no word from Blackhawks “I’ve been sending messages to (Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman),” Shalunov’s agent Shumi Babaev said Friday. “Maybe he’s busy. I was waiting for a reply. What am I supposed to do?”
