Just finished Bobby Orr's book, and reading Captain Class next.

Looking for ideas for others to read while in lockdown??

Bowman by Ken Dryden has been recommended to me by a friend who is a hockey historian. He has put this in his top 5 hockey biographies of all time.

The Game, also by Dryden, is a great one.

I read Sean Avery's book recently, and whipped through it faster than I expected to. I can't say I liked him as a player, but it was really interesting to hear his side to a lot of stories.

I liked Theo Fleury's book Playing With Fire. I havent read the other one he was involved in (Conversations With A Rattlesnake) so I cant comment on that one.

I liked this book as well. Didn't hurt that I grew up an Oiler fan who had Fleury as my favourite player!!

I really enjoyed the Beyond Belief book. Makes the recent Hamilton news all the more troubling.

Future Greats and Heart Breaks by Gare Joyce is a great book on scouting and prospects. It can be difficult to find though.

I have read a lot of autobiography and biographies of NHL players and coaches. Bowman is good. Playing with fire and Tough Guy are good. The Patrick OSullivan book is good too. Boy on Ice is pretty good too.
