I know plenty of gyms are doing this but since I'm an Orange Theory member I thought i would post this here in case anyone wants to try to get a bit of a sweat on while social distancing. They're posting daily workouts for free.

For those with Facebook, the PSP staff (military gym staff) at CFB Halifax are doing a daily work-IN. They do it live, but it stays on their facebook page as well in case you cant do it at that time so you can still get it done.

There's so many free options out there on youtube for workouts that don't require any equipment. I've been doing various forms of body weight workouts for years to reduce stress on my joints. It works. You can even find workouts specific to a certain problem you're trying to resolve (ie back pain).

I've been doing a lot of indoor riding on my trainer through TrainerRoad and Zwift.

Also outdoor runs are great (as long as you're not running in groups).

We have some hills in my small neighborhood... which is great for going on a walk with a soccer ball - trying to control it going up, going down a hill.
Simple touches and juggling. One hill is at a cul-de-sac incline... I stop there for 10min, kick the ball up the slope, let it roll back, try to juggle it for a few touches.
Getting out of the house, fresh air - I find it is good for mental health (even more than physical health) - to be apart from my quarantine-mates (wife + 2kids) and to feel part of the outer world.

Best wishes to all of the rest of you.
    Stay safe.

    When's the mock prospect draft?!

blayze/doulos- How do you guys like Zwift? I would LOVE a Peloton but I am not spending the $$$. Zwift looks promising.

I'm going for walks at lunch while I'm working still.

Smart/active watches are pretty good right now. Tell me to move a lot more.

I have a Bosu Ball, and I've been playing video games (COD) while on the Bosu. It's actually stupid hard lol.

My daughter's gymnastics club set up online training - conditioning. The coaches do the conditioning live via video every day. I do that with her. She might be eight, but the conditioning is real.

I like it better than watching a movie while on the trainer.

Zwift is good. It is entertaining and you can get as much out of it as you want in terms of intensity. It's also reasonably priced and you can buy a much more affordable trainer relative to the Peloton.

Don't buy a Peloton. It's a decent aerobic workout, but once you've paid thousands of dollars for that machine, they've pretty much got you by the balls and can charge whatever they want for subscriptions in the future.

Running injuries is how I got started with cycling (and then triathlons) as well. I think it's a pretty common path.

Nothing gets my heart racing like a good run, but unfortunately it's also one of the more damaging exercises for the body. Every runner I know gets a least one injury a year.

Yeah, very true. It's what I love though. A whole day out on the trails is my favorite activity ever.
