I expect to see a few retire should this season expire this way.
Apparently he is considering retirement when his contract is up.

I hope this is all just because of everything going on in the world right now and that he decides to keep playing.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
I expect to see a few retire should this season expire this way.

That definitely came out of left field! But I guess having had a good set of career earnings, winning a cup, and all that, he doesn't have a big need to continue playing.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
The sudden unscheduled time off also allows a different perspective on the importance of more millions, winning another cup and all that. Sports achievements and purchasing a 12th home aren't really that important in the grand scheme.
I also believe what athletes are thinking now vs what they're thinking when they're back in the flow of things will be two very different things in most cases. If I had to bet it would be on Rask continuing for at least one more contract.

tuukka would be 35 then? that wouldnt be an outrageous time to consider retiring considering hes already won a cup, vezina and made many millions.
he could/should keep playing while the bruins have a chance to continue to be top contenders though, their window is still open for the time being. in addition, the cup he did win was with tim thomas as the starter. i imagine its a different feeling if youre the starting goalie that wins it all.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
Can’t remember where it was, the Athletic or Sportsnet, but there were articles out earlier in the season when he was off with his last head injury speculating this exact thing. He might just be looking at things the way Rick Nash did.

Wow. Didn't expect to see this. It's true though this time off is really going to level set some of the guys in the back half of their careers.
