    Did she collect any maternity/parental benefits? If she has 120 hours, she should now qualify because of the one time credits of hours. Did she collect CERB? She would need to apply for maternity and parental, but I suggest that she should do that right away.

    She applied for CERB for the first month but did not do so after we had our baby because she was no longer missing work due to Covid-19. She did not collect any maternity/parental benefits because she did not have 600 hours worked in the previous year. She does have more than 120 hours worked in the previous year though.

    Then yes, she would qualify. This came into effect on Sept. 27, 2020 so that is the earliest her mat/par claim could start based on the 120hr policy.
