I don't get it either. I know relatively intelligent people that are ardent Trump supporters and it just baffles me.

The majority of the educated and intelligent people who support Trump are the self-serving wealthy demographic - Trump is good for high net worth individuals and corporations.

Having said that I know plenty of rich folk who despise Trump and would happily pay more taxes to see him dethroned.

It is understandable why the wealthy support Trump. But rural, middle class, white America makes up the majority of his base. They buy into his ultra-patriotism, anti-immigrant, anti-democrat, pro-gun, pro-life stances even though from an economic standpoint these people should support democrats. Rural, middle class America should be more concerned about social security, medicare, distribution of wealth, affordable healthcare, and workers rights but they are too concerned with issues that rile up their white rage.

Just to remind anyone passing by: the partisan blindness in here and emotional triggeredness to President Trump prevents them from admitting that the President acted sooner than most (with travel restrictions) while democrats like Pelosi, Schumer and Biden attacked the President, calling him xenophobic for imposing those restrictions. In other words, think of how much incredibly worse things would have been had a Democrat been running things instead of President Trump.

Agreed. Cuomo is a shining example of how to lead in a crisis. Such a dichotomy between Trump and Cuomo.

For the life of me, I can't understand why you consistently undervalue Trump's actions. You have yet to bring up his ban on Muslim traveller's way before COVID even started. Or all his actions to dismantle the WTO and world trade, again - before COVID even began. Clearly Trump foresaw COVID before it happened, but was unable to do more because of impeachment.
