Do we know that these games are all being played on the same rink though? Not sure about EDM, but in Toronto you could use the Leafs' and the Marlies' rinks to have game one and three on the same rink and game two on the other. That would stagger them enough to deal with the time overlap.

That might be the plan, but I haven't heard of any news about multiple rinks being used. For Toronto, the idea I think was it's the CNE bubble and they won't be off the CNE grounds, so the ACC wouldn't be on those grounds. But busing a team 3km from the CNE to ACC is very doable.

It's CNE grounds, NHL size and people do refer to it as the 32nd NHL arena because of it's behind the scenes equipment being so good.

Will each team have a tune-up game?? I know this has been mentioned in some articles. I am just wondering if there will be time, or if those games will occur before August 1.

Each division has:

6 Round Robing Games = 6 games
4 Series of potential 5 games each = 20 games.

So a total of 26 games to be played from August 1 to August 10

26/3 games per day = 8.6 days required to finish up the Round Robin and Play In Round.

If each team has one 'tune up' game that adds 6 more games, which is two days worth of games.

So a total of 10.6 games to be played before the August 10 Lafreniere sweep stakes? I don't think it is feasible.

And you can't have the lottery before game 5 of any of the series is completed.

The 5 game playoff series will be completed by day 9 (having 1 day B2B), the round robin happens day 10 and 11.

Attached is a QUICK schedule to illustrate what I'm thinking. Having maybe 1 game in the morning of August 10th to breakup some games.

I'm kinda nervous on the travel date of the 24th being so close to the pre-season date of the 25th. I'm seeing the MLS tournament fall apart with the teams travelling so close to game #1. Hopefully NHL teams understand that they should be travelling to at least a Canadian city by next week.

I see Kapanen, Nylander, Marner, Clifford, Rielly, Sandin, Borgman, and couple other Leafs are in Toronto/Muskoka right now. So maybe teams have already started getting players to get to Canada right now.

That's what happened with the MLS. But players were testing positive the day they were supposed to board the plane. Or the day before. Where as the NBA has players in the bubble right now. In my opinion, they should be testing people right now, if negative, get them to the bubble. If positive, get them quarantined and test ever other day until they get 3 negatives and then ship them to the bubble.
