    Default Yandle or Pulock?

    Salary cap league

    Yandle's salary 5.75 for 3 more years
    Pulock is a RFA next year.

    Goals=3, Assists=2, Plus/Minus=+or-1

    What do you think Pulock's salary will be?

    Who would you keep for the next 3 years?

    Pulock has already done the bridge deal. Ideally for the Islanders they can get him locked up at a similar kind of rate as Slavn/Pesce from CAR. Add inflation and a bit more of a scoring upside, I'll say 6-6.5M, which is backed up by the $6.3M my model has projected for him.

    If you can wait to decide, then do that. If you have to pick now, then with the contract uncertainty for Pulock I think your guy has to be Yandle.

    Unless Pulock's contract ends up being outlandish which I don't anticipate, he's the guy to keep.

    To you, what does "outlandish" mean?

    I said 2 years ago the bridge deal was a mistake. They should have locked him up 8yrs at 5m.

    6.3 sounds pretty close to what I've been thinking he'll get. I'm hoping for slightly under 6.

    I'd bet on Yandle.

    Yandle for me.

    His playing style will continue to age very well. He’ll be outscoring Pulock for a few more years and his contract is very palatable.
