Great landing spot if true. Not much goaltending depth in the organisation and I believe Evgeni Nabokov is still the Sharks goaltending coach.

How are teams able to make these signings when CBJ & Grigorenko had their contract negated by the NHL?

Girgorenko was drafted and has previously played in the NHL so he can't sign until July 1st.

Only players being re-signed, players on a team's reserve list, or undrafted players can put their contracts through now.

    Jokerit Helsinki@Jokerit_EN

#Jokerit and Mikko Lehtonen have mutually agreed to terminate the player’s contract. We all thank Mikko for a great year in Helsinki and wish him all the best in the NHL! #KHL
Jari Kurri, swell guy that he is, has released one of the best defensemen outside the NHL from his contract a year early to pursue NHL interest. 17 goals, 32 assists across 60 KHL games last season (first KHL season too) while finishing as a +26. This is a guy worth adding for many leagues, if he chooses his destination right he should step right into the NHL and work his way up the depth chart. I believe he'd be in the same situation as Barabanov where he's restricted to signing a 1-year ELC now but would be UFA immediately following so he's likely to pick somewhere he has a chance to produce right away.

2019 Liiga scoring leader and former Duck (59th overall pick in 2015 but had contract terminated) has let his club know he is not returning for 2020/21. I'm not sure if he's considering playing for Jokerit or any other KHL team but I think he'd make a good addition to any NHL team's forward depth, would likely start back in the AHL though. All depends where he signs I suppose.

Looks like the Blackhawks have signed NLA's leading scorer from last season, Pius Suter, to a 1-year $925k ELC.

Also, Nikita Tryamkin has re-signed in the KHL for one more year.

Just came to post about Pius Suter, but Steelheads beat me to it.

I've watched Suter play quite a bit in our league over the last couple of seasons. If he gets an offensive deployment (scoring line), he could surprise a lot of folks.

However, unlike Kubalik whome CHI also signed as the top scorer out of our league, Suter isn't suited well for checking line duties, as he doesn't play with a lot of grit. So if they want to make him earn a spot on the top two lines he could be in trouble. At least it's a one-way contract.
And if you're playing in a multi cat league, you probably better look elsewhere anyway....
