I did the math... it similar to Getting 1 shutout in game one of a ROTO season and benching your goalies the rest of the year.... you end up in the middle.

I don't know which team he belongs to... but I know he 'owns' the Leafs

I am hoping we hear the results of the ratification tomorrow or Thursday. Thus starting the 72 hour opt-out window.

Then we would be able to set up the thread on Friday and have it starting 100% by Monday.

The NHLPA announced Tuesday night that their executive board has approved the tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement, meaning it will now be sent to the NHLPA membership for a ratification vote.
The voting window for the players will open on Thursday and will conclude on Friday when the announcement of the decision will be made.
Looks like the end of the 72 hour opt out period will end Monday based on the above information.

So I think we will plan for starting on Monday.

PH sent me an invite via pm but was unsure of availabilty . I'd join now since the new keeper league I joined decided to start slow live drafting later in the year instead of now .

are we going with same idea as the current league some of us are already drafting ? (I like that concept)

on edit , looked at previous pages and noted its full .

Just wondering, how early do you normally set the draft order in advance (a few days, single day, hours etc.)? Not bothered whatever is decided, though.

I will set up the draft thread on Friday (tomorrow) with the intention that the 72 opt-out period is completed by Monday and then we can start on Monday.

I always like to give everyone time to prepare. I do not want the person with the first overall pick to feel pressure that they have to make the pick just because the thread is up. Or maybe it is better to just set the draft order tomorrow and wait until Monday to set up the thread.

Also, we got a 14th participant in just before the deadline.

So we are at 14 participants * 14 rounds = 196 players (8.1 per team on average)

I sure hope the players can get to their respective hub cities before they get hammered like those cities on Contagion!!
