Since DeAngelo wasn’t traded, should Fox still be seen as a high end D prospect? I noticed he was just ranked 2nd on Dobber’s prospect list. So to me that says he should still be valued high. Thoughts?

He has high value, but he won't hit his upside without PP time, and I expect DeAngelo to keep the spot on that unit and sign an extension.
So his ranking is based on the upside, but the upside is something he won't get to without a change (or three).

This pretty much says it all. It's not about skill, it's about opportunity and Fox and his owners are going to need to be patient.

I own both Fox and DeAngelo so I’m fairly unbiased on this , I think .
To me , they are both good on the pp and I would even give the edge to Fox . But DeAngelo can not do a lot of what Fox does at the other end of the ice . So it’s just about asset management . In other words , IMO , if DeAngelo plays first pp , they are both very useful , if Fox plays first pp , then there’s a bigger gap between the two .
Fox is the better player IMO , he’ll be fine . I really like him overall !

Fox is smarter but DeAngelo is slicker therefore he gets the PP1 deploy. In time I think Fox will be better overall but right now he holds the reins. 2-4 years from now who knows but assume they resign Tony.
