Why can't you just grab one off the wire?
And if Merz is making you nervous, how is a goalie not in the NHL going to help?
Which do you think I should go after? A fellow GM is offering to grab one of them off the wire and trade to me with a 5th for Zadina. Merzlikins is making me nervous so I figured a back up plan was a good idea. Or is Zadina too much to give up and I should trust Elvis?

I’m out of waiver pick ups. I plan on keeping Elvis regardless. Was just curious if grabbing one of these guys was worth it or not. I’m still leaning towards holding on to Zadina.

If he wants Zadina make him offer someone he actually thinks is worth owning. Sorokin probably should be owned, but I'm sure if you want him you can get him cheaper than that.
Really the best option is getting the other guy to pay full value for Zadina in picks, and then you trade a late round pick to someone in exchange for them picking up Sorokin.

Wouldn't it be better to keep Zadina and pick up one of the remaining goalie prospects when you're finally allowed to make moves?

I'd still prefer owning Zadina and, say, Primeau instead of forcing a move for Sorokin. But yeah if an overpayment can be worked out with the other GM then by all means!

I feel like I’m safer hanging on to Zadina. That’s what I’ll do. Thanks for the thoughts, gents.
