Just sent out these two offers to the other GM. Would like your thoughts.

    offer #1
to him: Bobrovsky + Krug + Konecny RW

to me: Binnington + DeAngelo + Debrincat RW

    offer #2

to him: Bobrovsky + Klingberg + Jack Hughes C + Konecny RW

    to me: Binnington + DeAngelo + Debrincat + Raider's 3rd round

Key here is getting Binnington - 2nd ranked goalie in our league. A younger DeAngelo to accompany Hughes on my D core. The cat will be a drop at year's end. I wouldn't keep Konecny over Aho or Svechnikov.
We'll see what he says. REP awarded. For sig. below.

I think they are fairly reasonable and fair offers.

I believe Boston will re sign Krug so I would rather keep him going forward than klingberg but there is of course a risk there.

I definitely prefer binnington to Bob and debrincat to konnecny and positionally to Hughes. I like the way you constructed the offers. Update what he comes back with.

I like your side on both.

    McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner

    Prospects include:
    McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
    Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.

I mean by all means go for it but if he has a brain at all he won't be for that goalie trade off.

He declined both offers but countered with: his Binnington + DeAngelo + Hornek + Debrincat + 3rd rd entry FOR Bobrovsky + Klingberg + Krug + Konecny + 12th rd pick

I declined as I don't want to part with both of those D in a dress 4 D weekly and I still value Konecny over Debrincat.

If I'm nuts, let me know.

if you want Binnington enough I think the deal is worth it, I mean Klingberg is meh this season, I own Hronek and cannot complain about what he has provided plus you get DeAngelo who is crossing 50 points this year in pursuit of a payday with a chance at 60 if he gets hot with 22 games left I believe. Konency is better than DeBrincat I agree with you there but it's not a tremendous drop off. My only concern is as real world playoffs get closer do the Blues start resting Jordan whereas Bob is prob going to play a lot as they are in the hunt for a wild card if not flat out of the race all together. When Bob was a Jacket last year and that team was in the hunt, my opponent in the championship got ten straight starts from him which ultimately secured the hardware for him in our two week final, something to keep in mind. Long and short of it, you want the more consistent goalie pull the trigger but if you feel the collective talent drop off is too much for you then retain your assets.

    In a 6F vs 4D league, there's a bit of a premium on D.

I mean, I know Bob has been pretty garbage this season as I own him, but he should bounce back. I would expect this year to be an anomaly.

I prefer your side in both your offers and would have been happy he declined. I would not have taken his counter either. I would keep what you have hear and reload for next year.

I think you did the right thing. There were some nice pieces he was offering but at the end of the day the price represents a significant hit to your back end. One step forward, two back so to speak.

When is the last time a goalie playing for Florida had a good year?

This made me curious, so I looked it up. As far as I can tell, the best season a Panthers Goalie had from 1993 to the present was John Vanbiesbrouck:

    1996-97 57 GP 3347 Minutes 27 W 19 L 10 Ties 128 GA 2 SO 2.29 GAA 1582 SA .919 SV%

Florida does not exactly spawn Vezina contenders (:

Hi boys, after some deliberation, I ended up taking the deal. The deal looks like:

    Binnington + DeAngelo + Hronek + Debrincat + 3rd rd entry FOR my Bobrovsky + Klingberg + Krug + Konecny + 11th rd pick

I wanted a change in nets and Binny is top 3 in our league. I like DeAngelo too and that NYR power play is pretty legit. I owned the 'cat' earlier in the year, but traded him away in an Aho deal. Got him back. A 3rd round entry is solid for Konecny seeing as he will be a drop at year's end.
I put together some pieces for a deal for Eichel, but that fell though. Later, I packaged up Hronek in deal for Ellis, but that too was declined. My grand vision didn't quite happen, but i'm happy with my return.
Rep awarded and I guess, case closed.

it was the right move and fun fact I learned watching the game last night, since the All Star break ended, the Rangers have the top PP in the league clicking at over 30%. I like you went after even bigger pieces after this deal but still you came out on top IMO.
