[Trade] Ennis to EDM

I think this trade came down to team need and right now the Oilers needed help on the left side.

As far as where he lines up, it's hard to say. My initial reaction is he starts on the 3rd line with Sheahan and on PP2. The second line of RNH, Draisaitl and Yamamoto is locked in. I assume Athanasiou will start on the left side with McDavid and Chiasson on the right, replacing Gagner.

That and Kassian is still suspended for 2 games and Neal is still on IR. McDavid has a hard time holding onto line-mates!

Ennis is 5'9 and 160 pds - great pick up for the playoffs...... is he that much of an improvement over Gagne ? At least Gagne had some size.
Holland seems to like these budget moves - a la the Granlund/Jurko signings.

But Ennis isn't Gagne replacement. Gagne contract needed to be dumped to fit AA so thats the upgrade.

Ennis replaces the 4th liner who gets bumped to the press box so as a scoring threat in the top 6 or 9 he's an upgrade there as well.

Both solid moves for Holland IMO, very low risk.
