Default Hellebuyck vs Grubauer next two years

    Hey Guys,

Asking for some thoughts on Hellebuyck vs Grubauer over the next two years (my winning window). G stats in my salary league: W 2pt, SO 3 pt

I'm in the camp that Hell will most likely get me more points, however he's almost double the price. I like Grub's future and his price, but the injuries this year have me concerned he's a bandaid boy with a max of 40-45 games.

How high is your cap, how many teams (how replaceable are goalies), etc. I could see a better case for either depending on settings.

Cap matches NHL, so this year: $81,500,000 (will go up to whatever it becomes next year).

    12 teams
    Start: 9F, 4D, 1 G
    Bench: 6
We're allowed 8 FA adds/drops through the season

    Top 5 current FA Goalies
    Price, Rask, Markstrom, Bishop, Bobrovsky

So there are goalies out there, but at varying levels of value. Markstrom is arguably the best $/point, but IMO Hellebuyck's proven consistency which might be worth the additional cost.

If it helps, my current keepers going into next year:

    Kucherov
    Tarasenko
    Aho
    Kuznetsov
    Kyrou
    Dumba
    Hronek
    Grub/Hell

I would probably rank them, in your format:
    Helly
    Markstrom
    Rask
Grubauer (injuries adding up with less track record of 50+ game seasons)
    Bishop
    Price
    Bobrovsky

The injuries of Gru do scare me, although he's a solid goalie on a team that's gonna get A LOT of wins when he plays—just who's to say how often he plays. Helly is Helly, consistent and on a team that's gonna be a little more defensively sound next season (can't be worse right?) which will only increase his value.
