I saw Gordie at the end of his career in Hartford. The rest you listed I can say I saw their entire careers.

No doubt Ovechkin should be talked about in the same discussion when we're talking about the greatest goal scorers.

Is there anyone out there left that don’t like this guy? I know early on there was the Crosby vs. Ovechkin crowd that made people dislike him but how can some people still feel that way? He’s been great for the game and the league and isn’t afraid to speak his mind regarding the NHL participation in the Olympics. He got his Cup and gave us some of the most memorable celebration videos ever. Now we get to see him chase another Cup and possibly Gretzky’s goal record. He’ll go down as one of the greatest all-time.

I'm not an Ovechkin fan. Never have been. In fact, I've always considered him a borderline dirty player who got off with a lot because he is a super star. Hes thrown a lot of dirty hits in his career without recourse.

I respect his scoring game, but I'm not a fan.

Agreed. Ovi is one of my favourite hockey players of all time. Classy, enthusiastic about the game, and extremely talented.

I'm a huge fan. Owning him in all of my keeper leagues probably has a bit to do with that, although I love his throwback (rough/borderline illegal sometimes) style. Russian machine never break!! I hope he gets close to breaking Gretzky's mark, but there is still a long ways to go. As a lifelong Oiler fan, I'm not sure how I feel about someone breaking the Great One's goal record, but I mean, Gretzky has so many records, I guess I could let one of them be held by a player this GR8.
