I think it's a big ask and probably too much, but you're the one with the best understanding of your leagues value, so if you think it might work might as well take a shot.
So Ive been posting like a maniac here as Im trying to capitalize on having some useful vets and being out of contention. I thought Id be "all in" but at the last minute Ive realized Im just not- haha! I feel like Ive got a last minute hail mary chance to improve my team for the future if I can move some key pieces. I moved Murns/Bishop in a good "re-tooling" trade imo. Now Im trying the same with Malkin.
Ive got a few offers out but one of the more intriguing ones is this:
Malkin, E Staal, D Toews, McCleod, Juulsen
For
Point, S Jones, Kravstov, Hoglander and a 1st
Its a top heavy league so youre not really going for quantity and moving Malkin is difficult. that being said this is a competetive team whose just been wrecked by injuries. Hes got Boeser (but I dont think hes going to be moved). im not a HUGE Point fan because its a sog/goal heavy league (G4, A2, Sog1)- but hes still a decided star player who will add value. I Im a huge Hronek fan and I debated adding him to make the offer more credible but with +/- being such a big thing for D in our league (every point of +/- adds or subtracts 3 in our scoring)- Filip doesnt even have great fpts attached to him this year. In fact Toews outpoints him by 50 or so which i feel like makes him more enticing to a competitor. staal is productive enough to help a competitor.
Is this too much of an ask? Not enough?
To me Kravstov is a must include and Im trying to add picks (only have another teams 2nd). Im wondering if Hoglander is a luxury i cant affiord. Either take him out or add him for Lehkonen/Gourde? Maybe Ill take him out for now to make the offer more credible...

That’s a win if you can make it happen.

I hear you guys- I took Hoglander out. I broke it down to two offers with an empghasis on trying to get deal 1 (the main one) done.
Malkin, Toews, E Staal, McCleod
For
Point, Jones, Kravstov and a 1st
So thats the main offer and thenI figured if he wanted more help I could do separately:
Gourde and Juulsen
For
Hoglander
I like keeping the main offer simple so theres a realistic shot its considered. i find a lot of times complicated/convoluted offers dont even get due consideration a lot of time. I feel like that one at least warrants some think time...
Point, S. Jones, Kravstov and a first
for
Malkin, Toews, E Staal and McCleod
is a huge win for you and I doubt your trading partner accepts.
I still like the Point/Jones side....
