Pacioretty for Boeser?
This would be for the league in my signature. I’m currently in first. Patches owner is close to being eliminated and I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to try to swap my Boeser (who’s out for the rest of the year) for his Patches. Boeser is not a keeper for me, so I’d be selling the trade as moving an aging vet having a career yet to the OGM to help rebuild using a young established winger who has proven he can play and his best is yet to come. Would this be a good one for one swap, or should I be looking for a pick coming back, or need to add a pick + Boeser?

Can you easily survive losing Boeser for the rest of the year? If not, I think you have a nice opportunity here to do some decent damage control. I wouldn't get to greedy here and ask for a pick plus Patches, I'd offer Boeser for Patches straight up and see what happens. If you need to sweeten the deal then you do that and go win your league. Others may disagree, but I don't think you have to clearly win every trade when put under the microscope. This is about circumstance, you pay the price and go get what you need to win the pool and don't worry about whether you won the deal or not. And in this case, if you have over paid, it's not a ridiculous over payment by any means.
