    It's funny because both of these guys appear to be blocked from PP1 time by superior offensive defensemen on their own teams. In a vacuum, I'd say Byram because he's more of a complete player and should have more ice time than Brannstrom. But neither of them is going to fully flower until they get away from Makar and Chabot, respectively, so the wait for them to break 50 pts could be longer than their talent warrants.

    I’m going with Byram for now. I think he has the higher pedigree and despite Makar in the way I think a lot can happen in the 2-3 years it will take him to make and stick in the bigs.

    I like Byram here as well. I agree he is more well rounded and can contribute to his team while bidding his time to move up the depth chart. I see Brannstrom as more of a boom or bust type. He is much more one dimensional and let's face it, Chabot is not going anywhere. If he's not running the PP he has less value than Byram IMO.

    Byram as is--- but ive noticed a few speculations he could even be packaged in deal for Avs search for top 6 forward ...could quicken his upside if he lands in a better situation
