Question Owner desperately wants my Vasilevskiy

Roster & scoring in signature. Not a cash league. Not contending this year.
6 Keepers: Vasilevskiy, Andersen, MacKinnon, Kucherov, Scheifele, Rielly

Other owner desperately wants my Vasilevskiy so he can contend this year.
I don’t want to trade Vas, unless the return was too good to turn down.

His players of interest: Crosby, Matthews, Laine, Pettersson, Tarasenko, Hellebuyck, Samsonov,
    Q.Hughes.

Looking at my 6 keepers and moving Vasilevskiy, what would be a very good return ?
Whether he goes for it or not, at least he will know the price of Vasilevskiy.

    Thank you in advance

With the uncertainty of Andersen I would be really wary of this.

Vas for Matthews would be great, but then you're just left with an injured Andersen as your only stud.

Helle plus Pettersson is where my mind goes next. Don't mind the deal but then you're dropping Rielly in the offseason.

In a keep 6 only way I'm moving Vasi is if McDavid or Draistal are coming back.

I understand the volatility of goalies but I think we can all agree the Vasi is in probably the best situation team wise and has the most skill out of all the goalies in the league.

And he's only 25, just entering the prime of his career.

You don't trade those away unless you're getting a boat load of quality back.

The only way I'd consider moving him is if I am upgrade my keepers. The only goalie he has that I'd consider wanting back would be Hellebuyck to help replace Vasilevskiy, so that's a downgrade out of the gate, so he better be including someone that is upgrading somewhere else. That means he'd have to include that is a significant upgrade to one of Reilly or Scheifele.

Basically I'd want someone like Matthews with Hellebuyck along with one hell of a nice draft pick if I were going to trade Vasilevskiy.

I'm almost certain a contending team will not offer you an acceptable return for Vas.

I agree. However, if he wants Vas bad enough he will have to pay. I agree that the return needs to upgrade my keepers.
That being said, I’m quite happy holding onto Vasilevskiy.

I just shipped off Nylander, DeAngelo, Suter to another contender for Bergeron, Pionk, Orlov & pick.

You also have to consider his future goalies. Having Vasy, Samsanov, and Hellebuyck would have him set at goalies down the road. If the other guy is really motivated to get Vasy, you shouldn't be accepting anything less than two high quality skaters. Getting Matthews would be a start.

If he wants him badly he can make the offer. Don’t counter with anything fair, let him know that he will have to pay for him. If he wants him bad enough he may make you an offer he’ll regret.
