Default Waiver Deadline Questions - Forwards

My league in signature is almost at its waiver deadline. This will be my last chance to make moves down the stretch, barring injury replacement or a player being traded in the NHL. Looking to see if I can find any improvements to try and finally make the finals again, or even win. It's full dynasty so future years matter as well.

My bench forwards are: Andreas Johnsson, Ilya Mikheyev, Kevin Labanc, Josh Bailey and Jamie Benn.
Necas & Guentzel will be kept. I am leaning towards keeping Labanc, Mikheyev, and Benn; dropping Johnsson, and am undecided on Bailey.

Available forwards in order of scoring so far this year:
    Tanner Pearson
    Tom Wilson
    Ondrej Palat
    Connor Brown
    Connor Garland
Denis Gurianov (the only interesting rookie out there)

Wouldn’t Tom Wilson be more valuable than most of those guys on your bench? Even if it’s points only.

Pearson, Wilson, and Garland (in that order maybe) are more appealing options than Johnsson, Mikheyev, or Bailey.

Labanc and Benn are good keeps.

Like others said, Garland, Wilson and Pearson are good choices. While they’re all playing well, I don’t expect all 3 to repeat this year to year. More specifically, I’m not sure I’d want to invest in them in dynasty. Save perhaps Garland whom I think could be a nice player longer term. Wilson I really don’t like without peripherals like hits and PIM. I can’t see him scoring like this consistently.

The guy I’m most intrigued by in dynasty from that group is Gurianov. He’s alwYs had the talent, pedigree and situation to do well. It finally looks like it’s coming together. Right now he’s almost exclusively contributing Goals and PPP. But in the future I could see him adding assists and some hits. He’s so damn fast I expect him to keep scoring goals fairly regularly. Out of all these guys I absolutely think Gurianov has the highest ceiling, but might take a year or two to reach his prime. I think he has first line talent eventually and PP1. Especially in a league where only G/A and SV% matter, that really boosts his value as he adds more goals than anything. Assists will come.

I like Gurianov here as well. You never know with rookies but I think he's worth grabbing and see what happens. I think you can part company with Andreas to do that.

I ended up dropping Johnsson & Bailey for Pearson & Wilson. Thanks, everyone.

Nothing wrong with this. I get not wanting to take a flyer on Garianov. Pearson and Wilson should be solid and safe pick ups
