Enough for Cal Peterson?

Not the team in my sig. I have been offered Zegras and the 11th overall pick for Cal. My goaltending is a bit of a mess, I currently have Jones, Mrazek, Reimer and Jake Allen on my active roster and Sorokin, Tarasov, Gustaffson, Nedeljkovic and Peterson on the farm. The only active roster goalie I have that I have any faith in is Mrazek. Petterson is the closest of my rookies to actually getting into the big show. That said, I do have some decent prospects but how far away are they? It seems a decent return or Petersen but I'm just not sure this is the right move. I'm also considering countering with Dach instead of Zegras.

What do you guys think?

I think it’s a great return for him. Zegras is a top prospect and you should get another great asset with the pick. I’m just not sold on Pettersen personally.

Quick is still signed for three more years after this season and I don't see LA being able to trade him away. At best I think there would be a 50/50 split next season and we all know just how unpredictable goalies are. I'd take the offer, especially since this year's draft class is supposed to be a good one.

Thanks for the replies! I also don't trust Peterson, in fact if you've read any of my posts on goalies around here you know exactly what I think of them, flakes, bed shittin' heart breaking sons of ... and I'll stop there. Just to swing this in a slightly different direction, who does the forum prefer: Zegras or Dach? This leagues cats are the same as the ones in my sig.

Hard to say without seeing your team. If it's a start 2G system, you likely need Petersen a lot more than a prospect and a draft pick.

I'm a big Zegras fan, so I'd take this deal. I don't think you can go wrong with Zegras or Dach, but I'd take Zegras myself.

I'd do it, because you likely flip that 11th pick for a better goalie just before making the pick.
