    Default Anthony Cirelli

I've held this player for about two months now in the first team in my sig. I'm really high on him but in looking at his advanced stats, I wonder just how sustainable he is. Also what is his ceiling looking like? He's getting decent deployment with no PP1 but at the same time, he is also shooting at around 15% and doesn't get the volume of shots.

The crazy thing with his shooting % is that for the brief sample size in the NHL, it's completely on part for his norms.

Looking for a little insight on Cirelli and just exactly how good he could be. Is he worth holding for a playoff push or should I sell high for a vet?

I watched Pens/Bolts last night and Cirelli was a machine. He scored a goal and should've scored another if not for Matt Murray taking a penalty to stop him from getting his 2nd. Pens broadcast team thought it might be a penalty shot. I owned him a few weeks back and wish I had him now. He seems to be ascending just in time for the stretch run.

You have to love a player who plays the way he does. He makes things happen with sheer determination.

When you have 5g 7a for 12 points in your last 9 games, I would be looking to hold despite his 6 games of nothingness prior but he does present a good sell high opportunity. I was thinking of trying to trade for him. Killed me to see him go off the wire as he was one I wanted to add when I got through my week last week but he was plucked before I could get him. That should tell you you can sell high if you desire. If you held him for 2 months why wouldn't you ride out his heater and then sell if you felt it was drying up?

He's someone I'd look to hold in a keeper league, but it's also not a bad idea to see what you can get for him either. The problem might be people looking to unload older guys who really arent much of an improvement over Cirelli.

If it's me, I am holding him but I also wouldn't be afraid to put him on a trade block to see what type of return I might be able to get for him. Just because you put someone on a trade block, and you engage in discussion with someone, doesn't mean you are required to make a trade. I probably walk away from more trade discussions than I do make trades simply because I dont like the deal. It's just the way it is.

You guys both make great points. He is someone who I would look to hold in a keeper league, also because in the 2C slot there's seemingly nothing in the way in Tampa. There are a few rebuilding teams in my first league who would be foolish to not target Cirelli but I don't think they realize how good he actually is. I added him when he was a 3% ownership haha.

he's this seasons Yanni Gourde. Anyone not cemented in the top line on that team you cannot trust long term IMO.

Nice to see Cirelli up on PP1. Point shifted to PP2. Tyler Johnson up on PP1, also.

Cirelli is a solid two-way guy who I expect to keep going. He's defensively responsible, and they need more of that, which is why they got Coleman. We'll see how the lines shake out over the next week, but I'd hold him since you have him.

I would sell high for a star forward who is stalling and waiting to pop. Like Roope Hintz earlier in the year. I think he’s ok but he’s not an NHL star IMO.
