Blues extend Husso and Mikkola

#stlblues have signed G Ville Husso and D Niko Mikkola two-year, one-way contract extensions. Husso's contract is $750,000 per season; Mikkola's is for $787,500 per season.

The way people are talking it looks like Seattle will end up with a half-dozen guys off every single team. Every team's overpaid backup, every bad contract and somehow they'll also claim the LTIR guys. Their roster size will put NFL teams to shame!

I'm sure they will end up with multiple players from some teams with the we'll give you player X (who is unobtainable) if you don't take these 2 guys we want to keep.

People are forgetting that both Jake Allen and Jordan Binnington will be UFA's that summer that the Seattle expansion draft is happening. Safe to say they are going to re-sign Binnington and this allows them to expose Husso to the draft while protecting Binnington. Allen is going to be a wildcard as to whether he will be a draft pick (he needs a contract somewhere before that happens) or a free-agent signing for Seattle.
