    Default Is he "Dunn"?

20tm multicat salary keeper league in signature.

Was thinking about targeting Dunn. He hasn't performed well this season, and is getting 3rd pairing minutes and 2nd PP time. But, he is an RFA and STL has several UFA next year. Is he worth buying low hoping he turns things around this year and that he inherits a larger role next year?

Depends on the cost, definitely a buy low. The guy is only 23, and has just cracked 200 games. Probably a bit of a wait though for him to be relevant, even if Pietrangelo is gone (and gotta think Bouwmeester is gone), still has Parayko and Faulk above him, and Perunovich coming in hot from the NCAA.

How many do you keep? Full keeper? What's your roster look like?

I think it depends on where his cap hit ends up. For example, Marcus Pettersson has been useful the last few years, but with a new contract over 4 million, he becomes a guy that I think ends up being too expensive for what he brings. Dunn could end up like that, if he gets a contract that's too big.

Great comparison here. I do think Dunn has a bit more upside than Pettersson but I think the scenario is the same.

    I'm of the same opinion.

Yeah. I am thinking along the same lines. And if Pietrangelo leaves, Parayko probably gets first shot at 1st PP. Thanks for the opinions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dunn gets shipped out at the deadline.
