I think we're seeing a bit of extremes for both players right now. Jarry is easily the better option today and playing a bit above expectations IMO. On the other side of this question, Saros is playing well below his expectations.
For me, when they both play at a regular pace, I see them a lot closer than where they are today.
My only concerns on Saros is whether management sees him as a viable eventual replacement for Rinne or simply a full time 1B option and they go shopping for an eventual Rinne replacement.
Pittsburgh has two viable 1A options right now but only one net.
I'd put Jarry above Saros but it's not that I see Saros as a bad option. I just like Jarry more. I'm sure most will say Jarry as well simply because they only look at small samples.
