This year Pionk
Long term definitely Fox
I agree with the majority that Pionk is likely the way to go. BUT, it's not a slam dunk by any means IMO. If anyone thought Pionk would be putting up the numbers he is this year, they are a whole lot smarter than me, that's for sure. I think many people thought that with Buf and Trouba out of the picture it would be Morrissey and not Pionk that benefited. This begs the question, is Pionk really "the guy" in the minds of the Jets braintrust? I'm not so sure about that, that seems to me to be a bit of a risky assumption. Then we have Fox, who has looked extremely good in is rookie year, albeit with a very small sample size to date. I believe Fox has the higher upside of the two. His opportunity however, is definitely murky, there is lots of competition and no clear path to PP1, however, there is always a chance that he rises above that challenge. It's close, I take Pionk only because it appears to be the safer bet and he has 2 more years of NHL experience than Fox. I'd be keeping a close eye on the Rags blue line though to see how things ultimately shake out.
