Love the guy and think he's great for the game. Have owned 2 Ovechkin jerseys over the years. Not even close to a Mount Rushmore of hockey in my mind.

That is a tall ask. Greatest goal scorer yes.. but Crosby has always been the better player and is ahead of him IMO. Simple question: you get one player for the entire game, game 7 Stanley Cup final, which one do you want? I love Ovie, but I want Crosby, who can do things Ovie can't. Crosby can't score like Ovie can, but he can score pretty darn well. He has a goal scoring title and probably would have 2 if it wasn't for David Steckl's cheap shot.

He is surely hockey royalty, but if we have to pick 4 skaters, Crosby is ahead for now. I wonder if I have Jagr ahead of both anyway.. What he did in the clutch and grab, skate in the mud 90s was incredible.

Mount Rushmore... who cares? Mountains are stationary. When Ovechkin retires he should forever tour the world celebrating like he just won the Stanley Cup!

Maybe the solution is that when the NHL releases their Mount Rushmore, they actually put 5 people on it because they always seem to suck at doing anything like this. *SEE Malkin not in Top 100*

I debated that to be honest. I just felt like Roy had another level in the post season. Hard to say though Hasek was on some not to great teams for a number of years.
