Default Sell High on Tony DeAngelo?

Article today suggested maybe selling high on Tony D for an established D name. Does anybody think there's a D out there who will outpace DeAngelo ROS that could/should be had in a trade one for one?

    Thanks

only if the return is worthy of it, for example earlier this season I packaged him with Kapanen for Tomas Hertl. That in my mind was worth it because I was getting the best player in the deal. DeAngelo is beyond sell high point, you now are dealing with an actual asset, therefore the return must warrant offloading. He is playing for a contract, the career season will continue.

Those sell-high articles could be dangerous if taken to extreme. Just because someone is a sell-high, it doesn't mean you should sell. Sure, if you can get Josi for him straight up. go for it but keep in mind you likely have a 50-60 point dman in your assets.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Do you think Josi's points are going to take a dip with Hynes behind the bench?

Josi's points were going to slip regardless of the coach, as I don't think he is a PPG player. He is going to have a career year and I think we can expect him to be a steady 60-point player for a few more years. DeAngelo may be as good as him, actually DeAngelo may be a top 10 offensive dman, but Josi is a much surer performer.

I'm just gonna keep him in a one year.

Who could you get? Barrie? Klingberg? Your problem moving him will likely be to find a believer. Tony D's ability has never been an issue, it was always his attitude, and that doesn't seem to be a problem at all right now.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not too keen to trade him, he's in the upper echelon of offensive defenseman this year.
