I just traded for him and he's still really disappointing. If he's not with Kane he's in deep trouble I think. Depends on who is available.
Watched the Hawks last night, he was underwhelming with the puck.
I drafted The Cat and have seen some flashes from him in my points-only league but he's been far less than expected. I know there have been some threads on him recently skewing positive thinking he's in line for a big 2nd half but I'm having a hard time believing that with the ascendance of Kubalik.
Today, I read a piece in The Athletic about Colliton wanting to load up with Kubalik-Toews-Kane but seems to not quite be there yet in committing to them full-time but I feel like that's coming leaving The Cat with no exposure to Kane or Toews save for PP. Even with the PP, I wonder how long it will be if they go to Kuby-Toews-Kane as the top line before Kubalik is up on PP1?
What once I didn't think I could do, I'm on the verge of. Dropping DeBrincat. Is it really that crazy, if I own Kubalik?

I'd be worried about a post all-star break streak coming his way. He won't last on the wire. So you need someone lighting it up coming in.

Been struggling myself with deciding whether to drop him myself. I don’t think he loses his PP1 spot regardless of what happens with Kubalik, which makes him difficult to drop. But he’s definitely on a short leash for me.

I had Cat and Strome as a pair for most of the season. I jettisoned Strome when he hurt his ankle in favor of Kubalik whom I'd been interested since the season started. Now, I have two Hawks, again, with one being Cat. I feel like two Hawks is too many given I don't have Kane.
Been pondering a Blake Coleman/Gusev stack. Coleman has scored with a vengeance with Goose but has only a single assist in his last 15. The goals aren't going to come at the rate they have been so I'm not sure if I should go that route. May try re-adding Dvorak down the road after dropping him today in favor of Haula due to the news he's going to be tried with Aho and the Friday/Sunday games this week. I just had a trade offer of Brady Tkachuk for Dvorak which took me by surprise. The guy who offered already has Hall and Keller.
