A team in my league got taken over by a tandem, the guy who gave up his team had lost interest, but my keeper has kept a core of 9 together since before 2010. I just got offered Forsberg straight up for my Hall. I just acquired Hall this season. I’m in the money right now, sitting in 3rd but 2 teams close behind me (top 4 cash), team offering is sitting in 8th. a) would you do this deal as is, b) do the deal, but ask for a bit of a plus, c) stand pat? My other keepers are Draisaitl, seguin and Meier, so I’ve got to decent youth, plus whichever rookie guy I carry over. Hall and Forsberg have the same contract (2 years after this), so my plan was just to do hall at 2 and put Seguin at 4 (more safety). If I do this deal, I’d likely just our Forsberg at 2. I could potentially put Him at 4 and seguin at 2, but seguin is the better player and a 4 year on a guy turning 28 soon is not a stretch at all. Hall and Forsberg are pretty much same ppg (Forsberg +0.03), so on 1 hand Forsberg could take off under new coach, but hall could go to a more offensive team in off season too. I could try to counter with My Meier for Forsberg, but seems fairly lateral to me going forward if they project to be similar going forward, plus Meier is a couple years younger and already had a 66 pt season. Meier would be a 3 year, not even sure the other gm likes him but just an idea, mind you don’t want to sell him too soon.

would you counter with my Meier for Forsberg, might give me a small bump this season, although Meier has been better since slow start. Or would you just hang onto the guy a couple years younger since maybe not an obvious upgrade?

That's closer but I might hold onto Meier given you have him for an extra year and we're not quite sure what his upside is yet, although last season was a promising indication of where he can get to.

True, would any kind of pick with Forsberg swing the deal in my favour for hall, or still would hold onto him? My league is goal weighted keep in mind.

The actual offer was Forsberg and a 2 for hall and a 4, the picks just didn’t attach in the offer so it sent through as 1 for 1. He also offered Forsberg and a 3 for hall and a 7.
